Summer is once again upon us which means that once again we are in the middle of wedding season! If you are planning your wedding in during the summer months, try some new ideas to make the most of your big day!
Another way to beat the heat for an outdoor summer wedding is to use your programs as fans! There is nothing better than multitasking! Try this cute ceremony fan from Bridal Guide.
Another fabulous summer tip is to bring along some bug spray! No one wants to be partying the night away and be swatting pesky mosquitos all evening! Fill a little basket with some spray cans of insect repellant (and maybe some sunscreen for your sun-sensitive guests) and stick it near your ceremony spot or even the bar (if you have one). Love this photo from Stephanie A. Smith.
Also, in place of traditional favors, maybe opt for some personalized sunnies for your guests to help block the sun! Plus, it’s a gift they can use again and again and be reminded of your big day. Purple Pear Tree Photography captures a great way to display your sunglass favors!
Lastly, if you plan on having a cocktail hour, why not serve some super fun, super cold popsicles in lieu of heavy hors d’oeuvres? Guests will enjoy a break from traditional appetizers and will appreciate the fun way to cool off. Just make sure to keep napkins handy for any drips! Photo credit to At Dusk Photography.
Have a fabulous week and enjoy the warm sun!
